An Excellent Example of the ever popular and much loved “Cartwheel Twopence” . A HUGE 2 ounce coin Struck by Matthew Boulton at the famous Soho Mint, Birmingham. Boulton produced 90 TONS of this 2d issue and 270 TONS of the 1d Penny denomination. Production was curtailed when the value of the copper content went above the face value.
